AN ENTIRELY NEW FRONT END
An entirely new front end features new fenders, bonnet, grille, bumper and headlights. The front grille has a more dominant, upright profile, and it is significantly wider than on the previous car. This in turn pushes the headlamps further outboard, creating a wider face to the vehicle, and they sit 30mm higher. These features, in addition to a new lower bumper design with larger side intakes, give the car a stronger, more assertive appearance, and a confident visual presence.
A STRIKING NEW REAR END
The rear end of new Bentayga is radically different to the previous models. The roof spoiler is much longer, having the effect of ‘stretching’ the roof, giving it a longer and more elegant profile. The new tail lamps are now elliptical in shape and set into a deeply contoured tailgate panel. Being a full width ‘clamshell’ design, this tailgate pushed the boundaries of press feasibility to the absolute limit; it also features new Bentley badging.
Larger, oval shaped rear exhaust tail pipes – echoing the design of the rea lamps – complete the picture for the car’s new rear design. In order to differentiate the V8 (and Hybrid) from the Speed derivatives will have a unique split tailpipe design. The result is a striking rear end that is uniquely Bentley and completely distinct from any other SUV.
A LIGHT-CATCHING SIDE PROFILE
New Bentayga features a new, long fender vent that is now positioned above the ‘power line’ on the body side. This new position allows more space for this feature to be much more dominant than before. The lower door side mouldings are also completely new and feature a strong, deeply sculpted, light-catching section that continually grows to the rear wheel flowing into the rear bumper. A badge denoting the derivative is also included on the lower front edge of the rear door.
STUNNING NEW WHEEL OPTIONS
The over-bodied feel of the previous model has been corrected and both the front and back ends now have an improved relationship to the wheels. A new 22” multi-spoke wheel is deliberately designed to be on the elegant end of the spectrum, in contrast with the more sporting 22” 5-spoke launch wheel. It will come in two finishes – and elegant silver-painted finish, and a more dramatic black/machined version. It will be available as a cost option, as part of the Mulliner Driving Specification, on the V8.
COMFORTABLE SCULPTED SEATS
The seats have a more sculpted shape, especially around the shoulder area, to provide an even greater level of comfort. The centre panels and inner portion of the bolsters on both the cushions and back rests will now always be perforated. Seat piping is now available for the first time on Bentayga.
IMPROVED REAR CABIN SPACE
Rear cabin space has been considerably increased, in particular for the 4-seat configuration. The completely new second row bench seat framework and relocation of the backboard has enabled us to offer ventilated seats in the rear (for the first time on Bentayga) as part of the Rear Seat Comfort Specification, and an increase of 30mm in rear leg room. The rear backrest also has more recline – 14 degrees instead of 6 degrees.
VERSATILE COLOUR SPLIT OPTIONS
A key tool for customers who want to personalise the interior of their car, there will be five colour splits available for new Bentayga V8. (With a 7-seat configuration, only colour splits D and E are available.)
ELEVATING INTERIOR UPDATES
The instrument panel and centre fascia areas are critical to the overall design theme, and have been updated. The interior evolution continues with a new armrest door design, and an updated steering wheel. Three new interior finishes are also now available: Crown Cut Walnut and Koa were first introduced on the new Continental GT, but Dark tint diamond brushed aluminium is a first for Bentley. The method of brushing each diamond in three different directions creates a stunning 3D effect that has substantial depth to it.
TWO NEW EXTERIOR PAINTS
Veridian is a dark shade of spring green, situated between cyan and green on the colour wheel. With flecks of amber and gold, this colour embodies a sense of luxury, while the light green and blue undertones create depth and a sporty dimension. Veridian will replace Light Emerald and be a cost option in the extended colour range.
Patina is inspired by the aura of polished metals with blends of champagne and silk. With an air of luxury and opulence, this mid-tone beige enriched with subtle hints of greens alludes to something grown beautifully. Patina will be part of the extended colour range for new Bentayga V8.
NEW CENTRAL INFOTAINMENT SCREEN
The completely new high-resolution touchscreen spans the full width of the centre fascia and providing sharp, crystal-clear images. A secondary content window means that navigation, top view camera, park assist, Apple CarPlay and Android assist are easily accessible.
DIGITAL DRIVER’S INFORMATION PANEL
As well as bringing a fresh and contemporary look to the cockpit area, the panel opens up the possibility to suit customer preferences. Digital graphics, which are brought to life with real-time lighting effects and elegant animations, result in a modern, vivid and engaging interface that brings a feeling of cutting-edge modernity to new Bentayga.
OTHER TECHNOLOGY ENHANCEMENTS
The updated touch screen remote has a 5” high-resolution display, better graphics, faster processing and a greater number of functions. Wireless phone charging is now included in Bentayga for the first time, greatly increasing convenience for customers, which the USB capabilities have been greatly increased.
EXCEPTIONAL DRIVING DYNAMICS
A level of power and performance that one would expect from a Bentley. As composed, effortless and supremely comfortable off-road as it is in the city, the V8 will also have Bentley Dynamic Ride and air suspension. With a V8 engine, twin-scroll turbo chargers and the option for Carbon Ceramic brakes, new Bentayga V8 is the choice if customers are looking for a truly responsive and performance-orientated drive. The highly efficient and high-output V8 engine is powerful, with rapid acceleration and a maximum speed of 180mph / 290km/h.
